As much as I support our police, it really irks me when I see them do the things they would quickly deal with us about. So today, 18JUL17, I was on SR 16 just passing Thornwood Crossing, when one of our LC Sheriff SUV's pulled up behind me fast, as if he was in a hurry. I was doing 60 mph, so I was thinking I was about to be pulled over. Thankfully, that wasn't the case, but he rode my bumper pretty good, maybe 5-6 feet behind me. When I was finally able to pull over out of the passing lane just before the Church St exit, he gunned it and flew past me. He was easily doing 80 or better the way he pulled away from me. I watched him weave in and out of traffic until I couldn't see him anymore, and that was right before I got to 21st St. This was around 2:15pm, and he was NOT running hot. The number on his back plate was 102. I see this as a major problem. None of us are allowed to run that fast, neither are they as they are supposed to follow all laws as they are set forth. Randy Thorpe, it's time you got your officers in line. I will come back and review every time something like this happens, because this isn't the first time. I'm getting tired of seeing them do what they want, yet we get tickets for it. Give me a break, that is just plain nonsense and need a to stop. Do I believe it Will? Not at all, I'm a realist. Just do your job and follow the same laws you are sworn to uphold, or get out of the profession.
